Watermark ID copies before sharing
When a landlord, SIM shop or employer asks for a copy of your ID, add the purpose and date to it, for example "For SIM KYC only – 13 Oct 2026". If the copy is reused elsewhere, the watermark shows it was given for one purpose only. Tiled watermarks are the hardest to remove because they cover the whole page.
Which style to use
- Large, diagonal — one big stamp across the centre; classic "CONFIDENTIAL" or "COPY".
- Tiled — repeated across the page; best for ID documents.
- Small, bottom of page — a discreet footer line such as a reference number.
Watermark only some pages, with the date
Type page numbers in the Pages box (for example 1-2) to stamp only the ID pages of a longer file, and tick Add today's date so every copy shows when it was shared. A watermark like "For SIM KYC only - 13 Oct 2026" makes it obvious if the copy turns up somewhere else.
Image watermarks and removing watermarks
This tool adds text watermarks, which stay sharp and keep the PDF small. To stamp a logo, place it on the pages before making the PDF, for example with combine images. It does not remove watermarks: a watermark added by someone else usually protects their copyright or a document's purpose, and removing it from documents you do not own can break those terms.

Can I watermark a scanned PDF?
Yes. The watermark is drawn on top of any page, scanned or typed.
Can I use Hindi text in the watermark?
The built-in PDF fonts support English letters, numbers and common symbols. Other scripts are removed from the watermark text.
Can I watermark images instead?
Convert the photos to a PDF with the JPG to PDF converter first, then watermark the PDF here.
Is the watermark permanent?
It is part of the page content. A determined person with PDF editing software can remove simple watermarks, so tiled watermarks give the most protection.
How do I add a watermark to only some pages?

Can I add an image or logo watermark?
This tool adds text watermarks. Add a logo to the images before converting them to PDF if you need one.
