Formats you can convert

PNG, WEBP, GIF (first frame), BMP, AVIF, ICO and SVG all work in current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. iPhone HEIC photos open in Safari on iPhone and Mac; on other browsers, set your iPhone camera to "Most Compatible" or share the photo as JPG first.

Why JPG?

JPG is the most widely accepted image format. Government portals, exam forms and job sites almost always accept JPG/JPEG, and at 90% quality it keeps photos looking natural at a fraction of the size of PNG.

JFIF to JPG

A .jfif file is a normal JPEG photo with a different extension; Windows, Edge and WhatsApp Web often save downloads that way. Many upload forms only allow .jpg or .jpeg and reject it. Choose the .jfif files here and press Convert: each is saved as a standard .jpg that every form, printer and app accepts.

AVIF, WEBP, BMP and GIF to JPG

AVIF is a newer, very compact format that some websites and phones now use; current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari can open it, so it converts here like any other image. BMP files from old scanners become much smaller JPGs, and GIFs are converted from their first frame. Formats your browser cannot open (TIFF in most browsers, camera RAW files, and HEIC outside Safari) need converting on the device first, for example by sharing the photo as JPG from the Photos app.
