Scanned PDFs (from a scanner app or phone photos) are just pictures of pages, so re-saving those pictures smaller is exactly the right fix, and this tool does that. Typed PDFs (exported from Word, a bank or a website) are usually small already. If a typed PDF is over 200 KB, it is normally because of one big embedded image or font; compressing it here still works, but the text becomes part of the page image and can no longer be selected.
